The National Institute on Drug Abuse [NIDA] and the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism [NIAAA] are pleased to present the annual Frontiers in Addiction Research [NIDA-NIAAA Mini-Convention] program, a satellite event of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN) Annual Meeting. The NIDA-NIAAA Mini-Convention will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and the Joint NIDA-NIAAA Young Investigator Symposium from 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. in the McCormick Place room N230 in Chicago, Illinois.
Frontiers in Addiction Research: Neurobiological and Behavioral Consequences of Drug and Alcohol Use during Development
Description: This thematic symposium will discuss the consequences of substance use and exposure on brain maturation, behavior, and cognition during the developmental transition from neonatal exposure through adolescence use, and the factors that predict vulnerability to early substance use.
