Do you want to present your current work using ABCD data, hear about how other researchers are using ABCD Study data, and connect with ABCD Study investigators, directors, and federal collaborators?

We encourage individuals at all career stages who are currently using ABCD data, including those outside the ABCD consortium (i.e., not receiving ABCD funds for research), to submit an abstract to this solicitation. Trainees - from undergraduates up to and including postdoctoral fellows - may be considered for flash talks, i.e., a 5-minute presentation. Submissions from individuals at later career stages will be considered only for the poster sessions.

All flash talks will be presented in person. Flash talk speakers will be provided with a travel award to attend in person. Poster sessions will be offered primarily in person, and a limited number of posters will be presented online. Poster presenters will be responsible for their own travel expenses.

Process:

Interested individuals should submit an abstract and indicate:

  • Their career stage,
  • Whether they would like to be considered for a poster session and/or flash talk,
  • The topic area(s) that best fit the presentation,
  • The status of results (final, preliminary, or none at this time), and
  • Self-identification as “within” or “outside” ABCD based on whether the individual(s) receive ABCD consortium funding.

Please note this will be a competitive selection process. Submissions should include a clear discussion of methods, results, and limitations. Submissions with preliminary or no results will be considered only if there is remaining space after selecting submissions with final results.

Important Dates:

November 1, 2024 - Submissions are due by midnight ET.
December 13, 2024 - Notifications will be provided.
February 7, 2024 - Presentations must be submitted electronically by midnight ET.
