NIH - Health Disparities in Osteoarthritis Workshop

Welcome

Thank you for your interest in the Health Disparities in Osteoarthritis (OA) Workshop, sponsored by the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases (NIAMS), National Institute on Aging (NIA), and National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD).

The Program

The workshop will bring together OA investigators with others who have health disparities research expertise to exchange ideas regarding how/why disparities in OA treatment outcomes and access to care exist and how they can be addressed. Panelists and speakers will highlight mechanisms through which integration of behavioral and biomedical science can lead to better health in OA. Please visit the agenda page to see the exciting list of topics that NIH staff and the meeting co-chairs Drs. Arleen F. Brown (University of California, Los Angeles), Leigh Callahan (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), Kent Kwoh (University of Arizona), and Ernest Moy (Veterans Health Administration) have prepared for you.

Registration is required to participate in the Health Disparities in OA Workshop. In addition, the program, except for the breakout and poster sessions, will be available for viewing live on the NIH Videocast website.
